I Like Glitter and Wearing Sparkly Dresses

During these chilly months, it seems to me that sparkles are everywhere. I see nails, shirts, skirts and dresses everywhere with sequins or glitter, and I have to say I love it! The person I see rocking the most glitter is singer Taylor Swift.  Every time I spot her in a picture she is wearing a silver or gold sparkly dress. After that, I started noticing an increase of sparkles everywhere. Girls in my school were wearing shimmery skirts and I couldn't resist, and bought glitter nailpolish. I wear it over colors like navy or turquise or purple. I even bought a slouchy white tee with sequins on the pocket.

Tay- Tay likes to rock the silver glitter, as you can see by her sparkly guitar and microphone.
You go girl!

OPI's new collection for Alice and Wonderland. Mad as A Hatter
Celebrities Alexa Chung and Lauren Conrad also shine in shimmer.

Walking On Sunshine

The title for today's blog post is inspired by one of my new favorite TV shows, Glee, which has a mash-up of Walking On Sunshine and Halo. If you haven't seen it yet, definitely get on that. It is so cute, maybe it is a little corny but that is exactly why I love it!
Last weekend I saw a The September Issue, a documentary about the making of Vogue's 2007 September issue and Anna Wintour. However, I personally believed the Creative Director, Grace Coddington stole the whole show. The film showed how talented and creative she truly is. As a journalism student and a Vogue subscriber, this movie was a dream come true. The chemistry between all the writers and editors on the Vogue staff show the necessary qualities, needed to make a magazine that is so ahead of the fashion industry.

The Final Product:

Anna Wintour herself, sunglasses and all.

Something you may not know was that Coddington was a model.

it's not a miracle we needed. no, i wouldn't let you think so.

I have so many things to comment on this fine thursday morning. The last thursday i have until school...bleh.  I am in love with the song 1901 by Phoenix.  I only have about five songs by them from the Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix album, but I sure want more. I have 1901, Lisztomania, Fences, Armistice and Love Like a Sunset, Pt. I. I might as well complete the rest of the album, right?
In other news, I had totally forgot about this hilarous website. I was copy/pasting all night with my friend the amusing photos on iChat.  It's called awkward family photos and they are just really awkward and funny pictures, mostly from the 80s.

How cute are those? I like the cabbage patch kids one, and the freaky baby one.

The Spaceman says, 'everybody look down, its all in your mind"

I am so excited! The Killers are coming to town on Monday...I can't wait. And i will admit i have a crush on Brandon Flowers (lead singer). But how can you resist that beautiful face?
In other news, my friend took some really neat photos of me and my other best friend. The album is called Albino Black Sheep on Facebook, so I will just respect her wishes and call it so.

European Invasion

I have been gone for a while...like all summer...doing busy things like traveling and being places. Some pictures from my trips:
I went to London...
This is Diagon Alley, yes from Harry Potter.

and Belguim...

The city of Bruges.

This is the Michelangalo piece, Madonna and Child. It is the only Michelangelo sculpture outside of Italy.  It is in the Church of Our Lady which apparently is the tallest brickwork building in the world. ( You can thank Wikipedia for that bit of information)

I also went to Amsterdam and Utrecht in Holland.

 Canal biking in Utrecht.

Fun, Fun, Fun

My school recently had an arts festival and I saw this adorable picture taken Italy! It was only twelve dollars and since it matches my room scheme quite well I bought it. My mother was really proud that I am "collecting art" which I think is humorous.

I also started mobile blogging, so some posts might be from my phone and a little sloppy. I am going shopping for bathing suits with my mama soon, so I will show you those later. I have been meaning to post up this mural I made of pictures I found in magazines. The pictures are mostly of celebrities wearing outfits that inspire me.
