Peace Train

I just got back the counter-protest at my school. It was against a hating group from Kansas. It was not as crazy as I expected but I was happy to be apart of it. It would have been a lot more exciting if it was like a protest of the 60's and 70's.

We Will Become Silhouettes

oh la la. right now i am writing at school during my lunch time with Sami. She has her own blog now http://www.thurbadoodleandco.synthasite.com so you can check that out. Yesterday I received May's Teen Vogue.

I rolled my eyes when i first saw Miley's face on this cover thinking...ahh just what we need, another popstar on the cover of teenvogue telling us about how she is all grown up...but i found myself loving the article. The pictures were dreamy and very pretty.

i attempted to make my own daisy chain and put it around my head but it looked a little silly since they were dandilions and it broke in 5 minutes. but i loved the flower girl idea that Miley had here.

So Sweet

It's late--really late. I am getting tired but i realized how long it has been since i have left my last post. I am pretty bad at keeping a blog i guess i am just really lazy. But I have noticed how much i have been wearing the color yellow.  Which is reasonable since yellow is a pretty, fresh color that i see everywhere this spring.

Nobody Dances Anymore

I am reading a really cute new book. It is called Flower Children:

It is about how free children of the 70's were. i think. Im not that far into it so i wouldnt really know.  In other news tonight is thursday, which means its comedy night done right on NBC. I used to be a huge office fan, but not i love 30 Rock. It is so funny!I think my favorite character would either be Jenna or Kenneth.
Also, my friend Sami might be the cutest girl i know:

She sent that pic in to Teen Vogue to be an it girl...she is great.
Other things to acknowledge...CHERRY BLOSSOMS! ahh spring is finally upon us, my friends! If you havent noticed the beautiful flowers amongst you, i dare you to...they are everywhere! In my neck of the woods i get cherry blossoms, a gift from japan :-) , but they only last a week and a half... Here are some amongst my neighborhood:

Do The Panic

Here are some pictures I never put up. After school that really nice day a couple of weeks ago Anna and I went crazy. We like being models. :-)

For What It's Worth

I havent written in a while. I suppose i have been too busy to sit at the computer. Well so today i was thinking about my project for Shakespeare Day. A day dedicated to Shakespeare...joy. It's kind of like a research project. In my group we are doing Elizabethan Makeup. I have so many visions! Anyways...so today i was daydreaming about Elizabethan style and how classy and elegant the look is. Then i started thinking about the 18th century fashions in Europe. Like Kiera Knightly in The Duchess wears beautiful dresses (as always) from the 18th Century.
